Sell

Thinking of selling a mountain property?

Selling real estate in the High Country has its uniqueness like any other market.  However; real estate sales are local and one demographic area may have different sales dynamics especially for mountain resort homes. Many of the major cities may be a more typical market in terms of pricing and inventory levels than our mountain properties.

Make no mistake. I am not saying these are good times, as they are certainly the most challenging economic times I have seen in my 38 years in the business arena.  It is a battle over the confidence levels which are at a low in the US housing market.

As a licensed Realtor, and one with many hours of continuing education, which has helped me work with my selling and listing clients, I work by one mission “To do the Right Thing” or live by the golden rule Christ spoke about not the Wall Street mantra of “Who has the Gold Rules”.  I adhere to our Realtor (NAR) National Association of Realtors, standards of ethics and practices, as well as having the advanced designations CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), GRI (Graduate of the Realtor Institute, ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative, Buffini Systems Certified Trainer and Mentor, which puts me in the top 1% of all Realtors® practicing real estate in the USA today.

I am certain your main question if you need to sell or want to sell in our area is, “How is my sales plan working in today’s difficult times?” What do I do that makes property go under contract in less time than the average in all three MLS boards that I am a member of?

I can start by answering a few of these questions in three simple answers:

    1. A Marketing Plan with an emphasis on technology.
    2. A Focused Advertising Plan
    3. A price that equates to what the market will bear.

Yes it sounds easy, but it actually is a whole lot more experience and training than anything else.  If you would like a concise outline of my listing features (click here) for a PDF of a few of the answers.

Clearly, selling one of your most important assets can cause anxiety and make you hesitate on who to hire. Please, take a look at my top questions for finding a listing agent.

Many people that I counsel and ultimately work with are on their second or more real estate agent and they get tell me they get the same results each time.  They put a sign in the yard, listing in the local MLS and an ad in one of the many print publications that are offered.

Folks, the definition of insanity are “Doing the same things over again expecting different results”.
